Community Resources.
one of the most valuable ways to protect your community is to be actively involved with it. We strive to bring together different perspectives in order to reach the same common goals. By highlighting the many positive organizations and resources we have locally, we are able to provide an atmosphere where knowledge, and self-improvement are at everyone’s fingertips.

Ranch garden.
In the ranch garden program we discuss a wide range of gardening techniques from small patio gardens to larger scale homestead applications and everything in between, Covering topics such as site selection, germination, natural pest control methods, crop placement and rotation, along with how to preserve your harvest and eliminate waste. We will also talk about how to propagate during the winter months. There is a big misconception that gardening and implementing homegrown options has to be a big ordeal, but it can be as simple as a small plant stand in your kitchen that supplies you with fresh herbs and green onions all winter. Join us in learning from our local horticulturists and farmers so that we may work toward creating and maintaining a more healthy minded community for years to come.

Veteran resources.
Help and resources are hard to find when you’re willing and able, let alone when you have physical and or emotional/mental disability. unfortunately, there is a large disconnect in our VA resources that leave many struggling veterans feeling frustrated and discouraged. At Second Chance Ranch we provide not only veteran focused retreats aimed at improoving their physical and mental quality of life but we also make available to our retired service members the information on the organizations and programs aimed at assisting our veterans with the care they so greatly need and deserve.

Outdoor survival and education.
By teaming up with our local outdoor resource agencies, we highlight basic survival techniques, land preservation, fire mitigation, proper game harvesting practices and so on. we are to be stewards of the land and, if respected and cared for, it will provide and protect for future generations to come.
